ABOUT ME
ello, I am Sabrina, owner of Little Sprout Doula; and my path began in early childhood education and, over the past decade, has sprouted into a calling to support families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Its not work, its a calling
I began my doula journey with the Birth Doula Program at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and later joined the Sutter Health Doula Pilot Program. I’ve also partnered with a postpartum retreat center in San Francisco, offering breastfeeding support, newborn care, and gentle guidance for partners. Collaborating with nurses and other professionals has strengthened my ability to provide warm, evidence-based, and personalized care for every family I serve.
To further my knowledge, I completed the Lactation Educator Counselor course at UC San Diego, continuing my commitment to lifelong learning and empowering families with confidence, calm, and connection.

- Gentle guidance as you adjust to life with your baby.
- 1–2 hour check-in after birth (“golden hour”)
- One postpartum visit after discharge

- On-call from 3 weeks before and one week after your due date

- Offering support with breast/bottle feeding as needed
- Preparing your pumping station

hat is a Doula?
A doula is a trained professional who offers continuous emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period. Unlike medical providers, a doula’s role is not clinical — it’s relational. My focus is on helping you feel informed, supported, confident, and cared for at every step. I’m here to hold space, guide your partner, encourage your instincts, and help create a birthing environment that feels safe and grounded.
Research consistently shows that continuous support from a doula can positively influence birth outcomes. Families who work with a doula often experience:

Sabrina was fantastic and far surpassed my expectations. of what a doula does. My transition labor came on fast and intense and she was a lifeline to help manage the changes. She was the calm presence that I needed and her techniques to physically and mentally help me were extremely helpful. She was able to help my husband and mom as well. Delivery was chaotic since so many people are in the hospital room but at one point I distinctly remember tuning everyone out except my OB and Sabrina- my baby was delivered 3 pushes later.
